Clint Foundation PDF

The Clint Foundation was established in the 1990s to provide financial support to students pursuing higher education. Its unique approach to this support is based on one strongly held premise: The Foundation believes that individuals will benefit more from what they earn with their own efforts than from what they are provided as gifts. As such, students receiving support from the Foundation must work for a portion of their educational expenses. Those funds will then be matched by funds from the Foundation and its participating colleges.

Students who participate in this program must earn some of the money required for their education, maintain passing grades, and make a moral commitment to give back to others in the future. The method they use to fulfill this commitment is up to the individual. It could be in the form of tutoring, mentoring, coaching or providing financial support. The magnitude of this commitment is also up to the individual, but the Foundation is confident that all will pursue a lifetime of help to others in return for the help they received.

From a modest start in 1995 with Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, the Clint Foundation has grown to include eleven colleges from the four corners of the United States. In all cases, these colleges are matching Clint funds three-to-one for this program. Over 200 working students are now receiving support from the Clint sponsored grants. Many of the colleges in the program have been added as a result of recommendations from contributors who believe in the goals of the Foundation. As people learn about these goals, more and more join in to help us achieve them.
